As the saying goes, there is no second chance to make a first impression. This is especially true in real estate. More than ninety percent of homebuyers start their home search online, so it is essential that you present your home in its best light. With over thirty years of design experience behind her, Linda can help that happen.
Whether you need to de-clutter, freshen, reorganize, or stage, I will work with you to help your house standout. We will work together to determine what needs to be done to add the greatest value to your home. We may work with what you have, and supplement with soft goods and accessories I have at my disposal. In the event your home may benefit from a change of furniture or needs furniture I may recommend renting some additional staging pieces or bring in stagers taking advantage of my vast network of resources. I will help negotiate prices and will work alongside any collaborators to make the vision come to life. My goal is always based on your best interests and a goal of maximizing your sales price.
Some examples of the difference staging can make are shown above. In one home the property had great bones, but needed freshening. Some furnishings worked well, while we needed to fill in with others. I recommended a coat of paint in major areas, and a good decluttering. I brought in bedding, lamps, rugs, and some smaller furniture. A few larger pieces were rented. The total cost was approximately $7,500 and the result was well worth it. The home felt fresh, bright and inviting, and the sales price exceeded the homeowner's expectations.
In the second example the homeowner had updated the home, but there were no furnishings. It was determined that it was necessary to stage it to draw in buyers. The difference is dramatic.
